We have revised the leg length of these shorts in this new 2025 edition. We have removed 2 inches from the side for a perfect mid thigh modern fit.

It seems impossible but the overall weight of the shorts has not changed from traditional ones, just now the comfort level is now off the charts.

And new for 2025 the new Shodan shorts come in two editions – With pockets for everyday use at the gym and when working out, and with no pockets strictly for grappling! Choose below your favorite edition.

As expected Half Sumo hand drawn Irezumi style graphics were reproduced with high fidelity on the garment through ever lasting sublimation printing. In this unique edition we have sublimated on the underlayer all our favorite BJJ submissions in our unique Halfsumo style.

Additionally a mix of flat woven and rubberized patches adorn the short to give it not only a premium feel, but a unique look.

Two non intrusive side pockets with optimal velcro closures allow both for safe grappling and for carrying one’s small belongings when at the gym or out and about.

Wash Cold, Hang Dry for best safekeeping.
